About Biking Idaho...
I've been a cyclist since I was a young child. I remember my friend and I (each about 12 years old) leaving our homes around 7:00 AM riding all day and coming back home around 8:00 PM. There were no cell phones, GPS or any other high tech gear to take away from the ride. We felt like there wasn't anything we couldn't conquer!

In 2017, I had the honor of riding my bike across America in memory of my brother who died of cancer. I didn't have a special bike , fancy gear or experience in bicycle touring. I simply made the decision to do it. I deliberately took a detour so I could ride across my home state of Idaho and it was awesome! From Parma, to Boise and all across the state, I saw Idaho like I never had before.
The people you meet while riding a bike are like no others! The conversations start easily, they are always ready and willing to help if needed and let's face it...cyclists are just nice people! The vast natural beauty and resources in Idaho make it one of the most desirable areas in the country to be a cyclist. If you share my passion for cycling and our great state, I hope you'll join me as I bring the best of Idaho Cycling to bikingidaho.com.
We will be updating our website on a regular basis with information on events, areas to ride, maps, unique stories, advocacy, commuting and more!
